Joseph turned 1 on June 1st! He is such a fun baby and calm natured. His birthday was a little busy, but after kindergarten graduation, and softball games in the evening, the girls and I took Joseph to Chick-fil-A for an ice cream cone (Lynar was out of town for work).
On Saturday the 4th, we celebrated his birthday. Joseph loves balls. He has a ton of fun with his football and loves to throw it and play catch with anyone who will play catch with him. I decided to make him a football cake for him to eat and a football field for everyone else. It turned out really good! It's only taken me 10 years to figure out how to make cakes.
Joseph was not quite sure about everyone standing around watching him. I absolutely love the faces that he makes.
Joseph looks so innocent.
He really was not a fan of everyone singing to him......
.....it made him cry in fact. I guess the girls were all singing kind of loud and with everyone standing right around him made him feel a little uncomfortable.
He dug into the football very carefully at first.
Once he figured out how good the chocolate frosting was he did a pretty good job of eating quite a big chunk of the cake. It was so good! Isn't this picture so adorable!
He wanted to share his cake with Brooklyn. How sweet he is already!
Joseph weighed in at 26 lbs. 4 oz which was around 90% and his height is 31 inches which is 83% and his head is a little above the 90% (the doctor asked if his dad had a big head). I took him in to the doctor just last weekend (June 25th) and he weighed 27 lbs. 6 oz. with his clothes on. This boy needs to walk!
A little bit about Joseph and his developmental status:
Can say mom (mainly when he crys and wants me)
Can say dad occasionally
crawls really fast
goes up and down stairs without any help
LOVES to be outside
LOVES to play catch and throw balls
LOVES his sisters and will tackle them
bites when he is trying to love you
has 4 upper teeth and 2 lower teeth (one more lower tooth came in on June 27)
When he is done eating he will still let you feed him, but then he will spit out the food that you just put in his mouth and if you don't catch him, he'll throw it on the floor.

Loves his bottle of milk warm
Loves to pull Brooklyn's hair
Is too big for Katelyn to pick up and carry

still wakes up at night

very good traveler
Patient and calm natured
