Rich Joseph

My dad has been telling baby grandkids that if their first word was grandpa that he would give them $1,000. When Joseph was about 19 months old he still hardly said any words...only mom, dad, ball....so when we were talking to my dad via FaceTime, he said to Joseph, "if you say grandpa I'll give you a $1,000". Well, on Que Joseph said "gampa". I think all that heard this was a little in shock and amazed. My mom made my dad pay up since she has always told him to quit saying that. My dad decided that he'd better live up to his word, but it was to be put in his "mission fund". Joseph was pretty smart and was pretty proud of this piece of paper, the $1,000 check. It was almost as if Joseph knew what it was for, just as he said gampa when told. Now he is our richest child! Thanks grandpa Gerritsen!!!
