The GPS...

A couple weeks before Christmas Lynar decided that I would like a GPS system for the van. By Christmas the thought that I would enjoy it became the gift for him....he really wanted one. I am a map reader and pretty good with directions and remembering how to get places (for the most part). The funny thing is that Lynar hates back seat drivers and people telling him where to go (since he's got a house full of girls that seem to tell him how to drive at times and where to go). I also like to look at maps so I can see the bigger picture on our route. Getting the GPS was also one of our reasons why Lynar wanted to go to Dallas (to test it out). I will start out by saying it did a pretty good job except for getting us lost once.
The girls and I had a fun time giving Lynar a hard time about his new "love". It was a woman's voice telling him where to go!!! HA!!! I could do that, but he doesn't like me or the girls telling him which direction or exit we need to take, but some strange woman's voice, everyone had to be quiet so that he could hear what she needed to say! What in the world....Now I know why men like GPS systems so much... I won't go further on that so I don't get into trouble.

I do like that it shows you on the screen your time and what time you will arrive at your destination. I think that I will turn off the woman's voice when I am driving.....I like to look at the road signs. I did find Lynar looking at that dang GPS and not watching the road all too much! I'll just have to get used to this new technology that we've invested in.
