About a week before the kids spring break, we found out that Lynar's mom has stage 4 bone cancer. We didn't have any major set plans for spring break and with the kids having a full week off school and Lynar with some saved up vacation time, we decided to head to Utah for the week. We left early Saturday morning and arrived in Kanab Utah in time for church with his aunt and uncle. We then headed up to Alton, Utah to see his mom. We had planned on her being in a warmer place (St. George), but she had decided to go back to Alton since there was family there. We were not planning on the snow that came down for the next 24 hours as well. We stayed in Alton and on Tuesday, I decided to drive up to Provo (3 hour drive) for a couple nights with the 3 youngest kids while Lynar and Lyndee stayed back to visit with his mom and deep clean her house. They had a great visit and the following pictures are from my visit up to Provo where my family met me at my brother Paul's house.
Grandma Gerritsen and my 3 kids and my brother Greg's 3 kids. From left to right....Joseph, Addi, Sam, Brooklyn, Katelyn, Preston. Man it was hard taking this picture.

Before we left for Southern Utah again, we went to the Pizza Factory (an old favorite of mine) with Paul and Jessica. Brooklyn and Paul were having a ton of fun.
Love the bread stick twists. The girls thought that they were pretty cool!
Jessica and Kate.
We had a ton of fun! Thanks Paul and Jess for putting us up for two nights and living through all the crying Joseph did at night. Just a little bit of birth control for you guys!!!
