This past month we hit our 5 year mark here in Arkansas. I can't believe how time flies by so fast. Here are some things we have learned/accomplished since being here.
1. Added two kids to our family.
2. Living in our 2nd Arkansas house.
3. Lyndee is now in school--we are really liking school out here and have found that full day kindergarten is wonderful for the kids.
4. I still haven't mastered being on time for things, but yes, things do start when they say they will.
5. It is nice not having to water your lawn (we didn't water it once this year).
6. We have to really plan to take a vacation to somewhere other than Utah.
7. Lynar finished MBA school.
8. Lynar is on his second job and basically has moved his career into business retail.
9. Walmart is great! If it goes down, so will our job and most of our friend's jobs, so keep shopping at Walmart!
10. We have to sacrafice more to go to church events and the temple out here!
11. Garage sales are wonderful! It's amazing what you can find!!!
12. We have great friends out here too!
13. We miss our family and friends back in Utah and have realized that we may not be moving back again.
14. There are great hiking and biking trails in the Ozarks
15. You can't camp in the summer time---too humid!
16. You have to be careful after being outside--lots of ticks!
17. Our favorite close vacation spot is Branson!
18. We love visitors!!!

Holy smokes! I didn't realize it had been that long. We so wanted to come through there on our way out to NC. We need to try again when we don't have cats and a moving truck! :)
Love your list, Jen! Those are great things you've learned. :) I think we're slowly coming to realize that living in Utah (at least Southern Utah where family is) is never going to happen for us either. But we'll always have the church and friends and each other no matter where we go!
Can't believe it has been five years that you have been gone. We miss you out in Utah but are glad that you can find so many blessings where ever you live. You have truly accomplished many things and have come to do well at surviving ticks! We love it when you do come here. We love seeing the girls grow up. Thank goodness for blogs when you are so far away. We love you.
