Start of the Giving Season

Our last night in Branson, we decided to go to the Olive Garden for dinner with the kids.  I stayed in the car to feed Joseph while Lynar took the 3 girls inside to get a table.  When I came in, the girls were all sitting coloring very quietly.  We ordered and ate, and at the end of our meal we had to ask the waitress for our check.  She came out and said that our meal had been paid for and we were good to go!  We were a little in shock and keep asking her "what?"  She told us that someone had paid for us and all she was able to say was that our kids were well behaved.  She said that she sees this from time to time around this time of year.

What a great way to start out the giving season.  We have been more light hearted in our giving this holiday season and are very grateful for the gesture that these people or person did for us.  We had no idea who did this for us.  Lynar said he say a group of senior citizens at a table close to us for the first half of the meal.  Who knows if they did it or someone else.  Our meal was probably close to $50 that night.

I don't think the people saw the little crying episode from Katelyn....but at least she cried quietly when she realized she lost something.  I don't know if they also felt sorry for us having 4 kids.....or what.  Little incidences like this can change your outlook on life and be more grateful for things.

Lynar is determined to have money some day so that we can do this on a regular basis for other people!!!

How cool is that!? We're like Lynar, wishing we could be more generous.
