Southern Utah--our favorite!

Lynar and I met each other while living in Cedar City 12 years ago.  We were in the same student ward.  We decided that we loved going to SUU so much that we would brain wash our kids into loving it at a young age as well!  (Since they seem to get brain washed that BYU is the only school to go to, sorry, never really been a fan!)  This is a picture of Ol' Sorrow on SUU Campus.  Lyndee loved SUU and all of Southern Utah because it is not as crowded and congested (polluted--I tell you she is into all that environmental stuff).
We stopped in St. George for two nights at Lynar's sister Apryl's house.  She is a wonderful host and we had a ton of fun.  Lynar, Lyndee, Katelyn, Apryl, Kassidy, Rio, Taylor, and Brody went to the Brigham Young Home and Jacob Hamblin Home in St. George while I took a much needed rest with Brooklyn.
We stopped in Kanab on our way out of town (headed to the Grand Canyon) and we saw Aunt Joyce (Grandpa Royce's twin sister).  She now lives in the house that Lynar's grandma lived in for many years (although they have added on and remodeled it---looks great!)  We love to stop by and see Aunt Joyce, she is just like Great Grandma Young and always feeds us such good homemade treats when we stop by.
We stopped at the grave site of Lynar's grandparents and took this picture.  We realized it was the 9th anniversary of when Great Grandpa Young passed away on August 7th, 2000.  We are so glad we stopped by there on this day!  Before heading out of town  we went and had dinner with some friends that live in Kanab.  Lynar was roommates with John Cheney and they were married just 9 months before us.  In Cedar City we were able to see my old roommate, Mandy Christiansen who was visiting her family in Summitt.  We had dinner in Cedar with our good friend the Garretts!  They have 5 cute boys (which my girls love to stop and visit!).  Such a great trip to Southern Utah!  If we were to ever move back to Utah we would have to move to Southern Utah---so beautiful and peaceful!

Our first kiss was at Old Sorrel. Yaaaay, SUU! I'm jealous that you got to see Aunt Joyce. We have yet to see their sweet new house.

I think that is great that you would live in So. Utah if you moved back. We'd be not too far away. We love it down there.
